About Thrive After Birth:

Shannon Ward is originally from the beautiful state of Colorado however presently resides in Hartford South Dakota, about 12 miles outside of Sioux Falls. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from South Dakota State University with an emphasis in Psychology.

Shannon began her journey to offer Sioux Falls and the surrounding areas postpartum support in 2017. She was able to travel to Colorado to attend a postpartum doula training with the wonderful Carolyn Butler of Doulawise in February of that year through the perinatal professional organization CAPPA. She has since taken a New Parent Educator training with them and will be furthering her education with a training as a Lactation Educator in the fall of 2018 as well!
